Ibo Land

My favorite food is Nsala and Akpu. It is mainly for the Ibo speaking part of Nigeria. It is really an expensive soup and the recipes are very scarce and seasonal. The Nsala soup is specially traditional, it is for outstanding events in Ibo land, the recipes are not easy to come by and very costly too. Nsala is brownish while some other tribes have it in pink color, it is a fresh fish made soup which is yet to migrate to Canada because of the scarcity of "utazizi." Nsala is also medicinal for a new mother and any sick person. It cleanses bowel because of the spicy nature. Akpu is a solid [swallow] that is also know as fufu, it is all over west Africa and eaten by most country in that region. Akpu goes with Nsala soup though it is not the only [swallow] that could be used for Nsala but the ibos prefer it.
